Level: Beginners

This beginner's oil painting workshop is designed to help you understand how to use oil paints and mediums while learning the basic principles of colour mixing, composition, and brushwork.
This course is designed for students who want to try oil paints for the first time, as well as those seeking ways to loosen up their style and paint more freely.

We will go ‘step by step’ through a step by step approach to help you prepare your colours and surface, ready for painting a simple still life using a limited palette of just 3 primary colours plus white.
Advice and demonstrations will be provided throughout the day as we explore how to simplify our compositions into basic shapes and tones, and how to mix vibrant, realistic colours.

Materials provided: Tea, coffee and biscuits, still life and all materials included, expert tuition, detailed demonstrations, and one-to-one guidance.
