PLEIN AIR @ MILL GARDEN WARWICK

‘Painting out’ with Katy Walden @ Mill Garden, Warwick. A gem of a place to visit with a fantastic view of the castle and numerous places to sit and hide and paint. Entry just £3 - they raise lots of money for charity each year and the garden is immaculate.

Which view would you choose to paint? Bottom left is part of the old ‘toll bridge’ into Warwick.

I chose a view from the side of the garden that encompased both the house, castle and garden. (below top right). I was tempted to paint the pots behind me though!

Bottom right - the old original ‘stocks’ !

Katy at work…it’s such a massive view with so much going on - hard to condense it down into a 12” square - you’ve got to be selective - look for the big shapes, pick and choose the details.

Lucky me! Another ‘Daisy Step’ :) Up to the house & garden…

‘Daisy Stepping’ down to the river…
