Level: All levels welcome.

This class is designed to help us ‘loosen up’ whilst learning the basic principles of Colour Mixing, Composition and Brushwork. Aimed at those who would like to try oil paints for the first time and those that would like to find ways to loosen up their style and paint more freely.

We will go ‘step by step’ through exercises to help us prepare our colours and surface ready for painting a single rose. We will simplify it down into basic shapes and tones then do a series of exercises that encourage us to paint confidently in an economical yet inventive way! Are you intrigued? Materials provided: Light refreshments will be served morning and afternoon.  All materials (brushes, paints, mediums, canvas etc) will be supplied.

What to bring:

• A box to take your work home in

• A phone or IPAD for taking photos

• Everything else will be supplied, should you wish to use any of your own equipment please bring it along.
