Torn Watercolour Lilies

  • The Oxford Academy Sandy Lane West, Littlemore Oxford, England, OX4 6JZ United Kingdom (map)

Level: All levels welcome.

During the workshop we will be Drawing, Cutting, Collaging, Editing and Painting our way to an abstract flowerscape. Focusing on Colour, Composition, Texture and Tone.

Day 1: Starting with careful observation and a loose drawing of some real lilies we will then create a collage using ‘Notan’ theory in tonal papers.

Day 2 & 3: We will be focussing on colour, tone, texture, and composition. Creating unusual textures using watercolour paint on watercolour paper to create a colourful abstract flowerscape.

Lucy will have lots of examples and will guide you every step of the way, giving you lots of ideas to inform your own work. With each piece that is created you will be encouraged to find your own unique style.
