In this workshop we are going to discuss the work of ‘The Pointillists’, adopting their principles to create an ‘Pointillist’ style painting from a Still Life.
Pointillism is a revolutionary painting technique developed in the mid-1880s by French artists Georges Seurat and Paul Signac. It involves applying small, distinct dots of pure colour in patterns to form an image, relying on the viewer's eye and mind to blend the spots optically into a full range of tones.
