Guzzler (lying down) the three legged dog, Nancy, the miniature bulldog and boss of: Lola the ‘dogue de Bordeaux’ (French mastiff)

Commissioned by customers of ‘The Plough Inn’ to give to the landlord for his 50th birthday. 😊🎂

It took 4 painting sessions to complete, one on each head and one on the adjoining bodies. What it really important with these type of paintings is where and when to stop overnight. You can see here that it was important to get the edges of the animals blended with the background before I let it dry overnight, these joins must be done wet into wet to make the animal sit IN its background and not ON it.
