ABSTRACT SUNFLOWER WORKSHOP

Over the 3 day course we will be: Drawing, Cutting, Collaging, Editing and Painting our way to an Abstract Sunflower Design. Focusing on Colour, Composition, Shape and Tone.
Starting with careful observation and a loose drawing of some real sunflowers we will then create a collage using ‘Notan’ theory in tonal papers. On days 2 and 3 we will take our ‘Notan’ design and abstract it further: you can then choose to paint from it in either acrylics, oils, or watercolour - or continue to collage in coloured papers.
